STAY TUNED FOR 2026 REGISTRATION

A 5K run/walk to save lives through safer streets and youth programs. Our efforts are in honor and memory of Brien Pursell, who lived out everyday like it was his last mile.

If you had the privilege of knowing Brien, you were changed by him for the better. His moments on earth gave those around him more than we could ever lose.

Brien was a Christ follower, an incredible husband, and the very best dad to his daughters. Brien lived life to the fullest, spreading God's love, joy, and hope to those around him.

Brien also was dedicated to challenging people to be the very best they could be. We believe he lived his life as he was always running his
"Last Mile."

"LIVE LIFE LIKE IT IS YOUR LAST MILE."
Our story

The 2025 Last Mile Sunset 5K was another inspiring success, honoring the memory of Brien Pursell while rallying the Pensacola community around safer streets and youth programs. Thanks to the record breaking participation, sponsorships, and support, the event raised funds that enabled a $15,000 distribution to impactful local projects. Local projects include Bike Pensacola, previously supporting their Fall Slow Ride and Kids Safety Rodeo, as well as plans for a groundbreaking 2026 community forum on walkable and bikeable Pensacola with an out-of-town expert speaker. The YMCA of Northwest Florida will utilize funds to enhance safety and security at the Betty J. Pullum Family YMCA youth programs building, including advanced locking systems and emergency access points to protect hundreds of kids in afterschool, camp, and development programs for years to come. Thank you to everyone who ran, walked, volunteered, or supported this meaningful event—together, we’re building a safer, stronger community!
